Sean's Birthday

Sean had his 8th birthday party a day early (Sat, 18th Sept) at the 10-pin bowling alley with 24 of his friends. A good time was had by all- bowling for 1 hour in the 6 lanes we reserved for them, then dancing to the music played by the dj before sitting down to some nice food. A big sing-song of 'happy birthday' in 3 languagues around the cake and then home for Sean to open his many presents ! This is better than Christmas for him !
Next day we took Sean out for a birthday lunch at the Shangri-La then went to pick up another present for him before going home to play on his new ping-pong table.
With the Indonesia Presidential election run-off taking place, Monday was a national holiday so we had a relaxing morning, a swim and a quick visit to the golf range. A very enjoyable long weekend.
We have the good news that Mum's plastercast has been taken off and the break is healing nicely. A bit of a shock, though, to learn that she has 7 screws in her ankle ! Big thanks to Pauline for helping Mum so much over the last 5 weeks.
Other good news is that Mum and Lilian have now got confirmed flights for their visit to Jakarta in December. We are really looking forward to them coming - although we will have to set off early for everything we do with them because, with all that metal in her, Mum will be setting off the detectors at all the security checkpoints !
