The Geese are getting fat

Christmas is coming ....and Mum and Lilian are coming to Jakarta to spend the festive season with us.
After spending a few nights in Singapore on the way, they will arrive in Jakarta on Monday 13 Dec. On Sunday, 12 Dec Steve flies out to Bali for a 4 day meeting !
Still, it will give them time to get over the journey and settle in first with Anita & Sean.
Sean's school term finishes on the 10th, so he will be on holiday for the whole of their stay.
We are really looking forward to having a family Christmas.
Originally we planned to go to Bali for a 5 days from the 26 th but we have changed our minds and decided to stay in the cool, clean air of Rancamaya at the foot of Mt Salak just an hour's drive from Jakarta - and, no, it has nothing to do with the fact that the villas there sit right on a beautiful golf course. Well, not a lot !
Yesterday was Anita's birthday and we celebrated with a really good lunch at the Shangri La. In the evening we were out eating again at Toscana's restaurant at a farewell dinner for Homayoun & Nichole Madjrouh who are soon to leave Jakarta for New Delhi. Lovely couple who will be missed by many.
Willem, had a hole in one yesterday at No.3 at Jagorawi. Congratulations to him. Well kind of. For several years there was a hole-in-one prize donated by Asiana airlines of 2 round trip tickets JKT-LA but a few months ago it stopped ! So hard luck Willem !
Steve and Sean are getting a little perkier about Man Utd's recent improved form . .. but the TV is still getting a fair amount of 'talking to' when their games are on !
Steve has been avoiding Australian's around Jakarta since England lost the rugby match to the Wallabies last week - an occurence that has taken over from England losing a football match to Scotland as Steve's worst sporting nightmare. Hardly surprising as England rarely plays Scotland at football anymore - and in any case the chances of them losing to Scotland are about as slim as those of Tim Henman ever winning a Grand Slam event. Any half decent team could stuff Scotland these days.
And talking of stuffing, the turkey will be waiting for you Mum !
